What can be expected during the procedure?
There is an incision made all the way around the body at lower waist level. The incision in the front of the body is used to lift the abdomen. What to expect after surgery?
Your hospital stay is usually overnight and your recovery time is generally 2-3 weeks. Patients commonly experience areas of partial and/or complete numbness of the surrounding skin. It may take several months or longer for sensation to return. If you work outside the home you may be able to return to work after two weeks with the understanding that you will still have discomfort with motion and fatigue.
